Bankster’s NBA 3-Point Play – April 1, 2019

by • April 1, 2019

Did you know that on even a six game NBA slate, there are approximately 250 BILLION lineup combinations you can make? To be able to hit on the 1 lineup out of those combinations is harder than winning the lottery. A reduced player pool, though, can give you a significant advantage by reducing the possible lineup combinations you can make. If we limit our choices to only 5 players per position, you now have 400,000 possible lineup combinations you can make (pricing helps reduce this number even lower). Sure, that’s still a lot of lineup choices but it’s only .00016% of the total possible lineup combinations everyone else is working with. That is a SIGNIFICANT advantage for you if you’re choosing from a strong reduced player pool. That’s where we come in to help.

Bankster DFS, The Home of the Reduced Player Pool, has teamed up with Fanball to give you a daily sneak peak of three of the plays we have included in our Bankster DFS reduced player pool. We aren’t lineup sellers; we write full articles that explain which players we like, why we like those players, and how we like to build our teams. We are a learning site more than anything, and you can see that in heavy member interaction on our various Slack Chat channels (we have one for every sport that we cover – NBA, AAF, NFL, NHL, MLB, EPL, PGA, MMA, CBB, WWE, sports betting, and Best Ball 10’s). You can get the rest of our reduced player pool, our daily articles, our members only slack chat, and Fanball exclusives with a Bankster DFS membership. That membership costs only $2.99/wk and you get everything mentioned above with it; 10% of all membership fees are donated to Donors Choose (a site that funds projects for teachers and their classrooms). You can contact me about membership on Twitter @bankster17 or sign up for service here.

Let’s look at the 3 point plays for Monday, April 1…

From the Corner: Aaron Gordon (ORL/PF – $)
From the mouth of Derrick Mcgough (@mcgoughderrick), “Gordon has been a stud as of late with 50, 30, and 30 fantasy points in his last three games. Orlando is actually playing as hard as they can at the moment. I look for Gordon to be closer to his ceiling rather than his floor in this one.” Gordon has actually surpassed 30 fantasy points in nine of ten games, and at this point even a 5x return is looking solid. With so many high-priced guys resting or losing minutes there is something to be said about your upper mid-range guys giving you a safe floor while you rely on your value plays to carry your fantasy teams.

From the Wing: Rudy Gobert (UTA/C – $)
From the mouth of Phil Beneteau (@fantasyphilled), “it’s coming down to the dog days in the NBA. There are going to be people that you’ve never heard of go off and then you will see studs get sat in game. I really think Gobert is in a smash tonight tonight against the Hornets. CHA ranks 23rd against centres and we know what Gobert is capable of. He can go off for 45+ even if he doesn’t play his regular minutes. I expect him to pay off his salary and more, which is more than you can hope for than players still playing right now!”

From Way Downtown: Devin Booker (PHX/SG – $)
From the mouth of Derrick Mcgough (@mcgoughderrick), “who in the NBA is hotter at the moment? He has scored 48+ REAL points in each of his last three games. He is on a mission right now. Lock him in.” There’s no real incentive for Booker to rest at the moment. He’s on an epic run right now and there’s nothing standing in his way from trying to put on a show. Phoenix isn’t going to the playoffs, they keep losing, but he’s keeping people in the stands. The Cavaliers are going to put a stop to his scoring run? Ha! Not bloody likely.

On the Bench (Fade of the Day): Kemba Walker (CHA/PG – $)
Kemba as a fade on back to back nights? Why not?? He was terrible on Sunday night in Golden State with under 20 fantasy points. For a guy who is priced where he is you just can’t have that type of a performance. Now he’s in Utah, on the road, on the second night of a back to back, against the best defensive team in the NBA. What about that matchup would make anyone think that Kemba would be a strong play tonight? Even with a lot of studs taking the night off, we can’t bring ourselves to roster Kemba in a terrible spot like this.
Don’t forget that you can access the rest of our Reduced Player Pool as a Bankster DFS member. $2.99 per week gets you access to all the content we produce for all the sports we cover, our members only Slack Chat, and exclusive Fanball bonuses.
