Bankster’s NBA 3-Point Play – March 18, 2019

by • March 18, 2019

Fanball’s NBA 3 Point Play
Powered by Bankster DFS

Did you know that on even a six game NBA slate, there are approximately 250 BILLION lineup combinations you can make? To be able to hit on the 1 lineup out of those combinations is harder than winning the lottery. A reduced player pool, though, can give you a significant advantage by reducing the possible lineup combinations you can make. If we limit our choices to only 5 players per position, you now have 400,000 possible lineup combinations you can make (pricing helps reduce this number even lower). Sure, that’s still a lot of lineup choices but it’s only .00016% of the total possible lineup combinations everyone else is working with. That is a SIGNIFICANT advantage for you if you’re choosing from a strong reduced player pool. That’s where we come in to help.

Bankster DFS, The Home of the Reduced Player Pool, has teamed up with Fanball to give you a daily sneak peak of three of the plays we have included in our Bankster DFS reduced player pool. We aren’t lineup sellers; we write full articles that explain which players we like, why we like those players, and how we like to build our teams. We are a learning site more than anything, and you can see that in heavy member interaction on our various Slack Chat channels (we have one for every sport that we cover – NBA, AAF, NFL, NHL, MLB, EPL, PGA, MMA, CBB, WWE, sports betting, and Best Ball 10’s). You can get the rest of our reduced player pool, our daily articles, our members only slack chat, and Fanball exclusives with a Bankster DFS membership. That membership costs only $2.99/wk and you get everything mentioned above with it; 10% of all membership fees are donated to Donors Choose (a site that funds projects for teachers and their classrooms). You can contact me about membership on Twitter @bankster17 or sign up for service here.

Let’s look at the 3 point plays for Monday, March 18…

From the Corner: Paul George (OKC – PF – $10,800)
From the mouth of Zac Green (@okiecowpoke14), “a must play for me tonight with Westbrook out. The offense will run through him tonight. Last time he played Miami he went for 67 fantasy points. He’s put up 53 and 55 fantasy point in his last two games. Paul George is a triple-double threat when Westbrook is in the game, much less when he is out. I am very confident that PG will be in the winning GPP lineup tonight.”

From the Wing: Rudy Gobert (UTA – C – $8,500)
From the mouth of Phil Beneteau (@fantasyphilled),”He could easily be the top scoring center on tonight’s slate. He is very safe for cash, but also has that 50+ upside tonight against the Wizards. The Wizards rank 8th in pace, 3rd worst in defensive efficiency, and are second worst in rebounding. A 15/15 game is well within reach and he could even grab a 20/20 game for tonight including a couple blocks!”

From Way Downtown: Klay Thompson (GSW – SF – $7,200)
From the mouth of Doug Shain (@bankster17), “Mr. Anti-Klay (me) is actually all over him tonight. He’s been on fire the last week and a half or so with 43+ fantasy points in four straight games. When Klay gets hot he’s a $10k type of player; this is particularly important when he’s priced in the mid-$7k range. There’s some danger in using Klay if Durant ends up starting but even in that case he’s still got 40 real point upside on any given night. If Durant is out, Thompson moves into must-play territory. He scores about 8% more fantasy point per game against San Antonio this year, so it’s a favorable matchup for him either way. The high point total and close spread mean we won’t have to worry too much about a blowout.”

On the Bench (Fade of the Day): Nikola Jokic (DEN – C – $10,700)
We love The Joker at Bankster DFS; we just can’t justify paying all the way up to roster him in this tough matchup tonight. The Celtics are strong against opposing centers, and that includes a lockdown on Jokic earlier this year (he scored 31 fantasy points, whereas his season average is 50). Add in the current run Joker is on, under 50 fantasy points in seven of eight games, and we’ve got a situation where he’s just too expensive. When we are paying for the priciest player at a position we are shooting for a ceiling game and that’s just not what we expect to get from Jokic tonight.

Don’t forget that you can access the rest of our Reduced Player Pool as a Bankster DFS member. $2.99 per week gets you access to all the content we produce for all the sports we cover, our members only Slack Chat, and exclusive Fanball bonuses.
