Bankster’s NBA 3-Point Play – March 30, 2019
Did you know that on even a six game NBA slate, there are approximately 250 BILLION lineup combinations you can make? To be able to hit on the 1 lineup out of those combinations is harder than winning the lottery. A reduced player pool, though, can give you a significant advantage by reducing the possible lineup combinations you can make. If we limit our choices to only 5 players per position, you now have 400,000 possible lineup combinations you can make (pricing helps reduce this number even lower). Sure, that’s still a lot of lineup choices but it’s only .00016% of the total possible lineup combinations everyone else is working with. That is a SIGNIFICANT advantage for you if you’re choosing from a strong reduced player pool. That’s where we come in to help.
Bankster DFS, The Home of the Reduced Player Pool, has teamed up with Fanball to give you a daily sneak peak of three of the plays we have included in our Bankster DFS reduced player pool. We aren’t lineup sellers; we write full articles that explain which players we like, why we like those players, and how we like to build our teams. We are a learning site more than anything, and you can see that in heavy member interaction on our various Slack Chat channels (we have one for every sport that we cover – NBA, AAF, NFL, NHL, MLB, EPL, PGA, MMA, CBB, WWE, sports betting, and Best Ball 10’s). You can get the rest of our reduced player pool, our daily articles, our members only slack chat, and Fanball exclusives with a Bankster DFS membership. That membership costs only $2.99/wk and you get everything mentioned above with it; 10% of all membership fees are donated to Donors Choose (a site that funds projects for teachers and their classrooms). Let’s look at the 3 point plays for Saturday, March 30…
Welcome to the Mcgough Show, as Derrick takes over while Doug and Zac prep for Saturday and Phil is taking a well deserved night off.
From the Corner: Devin Booker (PHX/SG – $9100)
From the mouth of Derrick Mcgough (@mcgoughderrick), “where has this version of Booke been all year? Over the last 6 games he has a average of 56 fantasy points per game. The Suns have been hit with injuries, but he is by far the most talented guy on the team. He has scored 59 and 52 real points in the last two games and is a must play for me.” At $3600 less than James Harden, but with a similar scoring upside, you can almost look at Booker as a value play on this slate.
From the Wing: Bruno Caboclo (MEM/PF – $3400)
From the mouth of Derrick Mcgough (@mcgoughderrick), “another mid range play that is making the most of his playing time. He is another stat sheet stuffer over last two games with 30 plus minutes, a double double in each with a few assists, three blocks and a couple of steals to round out his scoring. Tonight he is going up against a bad Phoenix defense. He should be in line for another good night. Something to remember in the NBA at the end of the regular season it is ok if you have a little money left over if it works that way. Stars that play get rested and they mix in players for evaluation as well. PHX, MEM, and CHI are depleted due to injury; which is a key factor in targeting some of their guys we know are going to play.” Caboclo has been looking at a 12x return each of his last two games, and while we should never expect that it’s also not irresponsible to think we can grab 8x in this matchup on the very, very cheap.
From Way Downtown: Fred Van Vleet (TOR/PG – $4100)
From the mouth of Derrick Mcgough (@mcgoughderrick), “with Kawhi already out for tomorrow’s game, Van Vleet will draw the start as the Raptors go small. He should see around 30 minute, which is great considering his price. What’s interesting is that when he draws the start and gets slid over to the three he seems to embrace the role from a defensive standpoint; he even had a couple blocks last game. Van Vleet can stuff the stat sheet in a hurry on all levels. In cash he will be a lock for me, and if ownership works I will have him in a GPP as well.”
On the Bench (Fade of the Day): Nikola Vucevic (ORL/C – $9700)
Vuc is one of our favorite players at Bankster DFS, but this is an ugly matchup for him. The Pacers don’t play a very fast game, and their interior defense is stellar. They have help Vucevic to more than 10% fewer points than his season average in three games against Indiana this year. At his price point he’s going to need 45+ fantasy points to pay off and he’s just not done that consistently against the Pacers this year. We’d rather spend up at other positions and take the value that’s presenting itself at Center on this slate.
