It’s Gabbert Again For Titans
With Mariota still having numbness in his fingers Gabbert will be under center again for the Titans. With only 20 pass attempts a week ago and a tough match up against a stout Jags defense all Titans weapons are downgraded.
Oh Oh Oh Fitzmagic
The most fun story to start the NFL season rolls on. Ryan Fitzpatrick who was listed earlier in the week on the injury report with a knee issue practiced in full on Saturday and has been removed from the report. A Monday night clash of an underperforming Steelers team and and overperforning Bucs team should bring a lot of fireworks.
McCoy travels to Minnesota
LeSean McCoy traveled to Minnesota. He has been questionable all week to play in the game Sunday. Reading the tea leaves here… this means nothing for your fantasy league because you shouldn’t be starting him anyway.
Jay Ajayi out week 3
Despite coming back into the game in week 2 and scoring a touchdown after his injury… Ajayi will be sitting out week 3. With Darren Sproles also likely on the shelf, this is a Corey Clement game. The Eagles are just a game removed from allowing 149 yards and a score to Joe Mixon and are ranked 22nd against fantasy running backs.
Dalvin Cook out week 3
This one is scary for Vikings fans but you have to believe the Vikings are using the Bills week as basically a bye week to get anyone slightly injured back to full health. This makes for a nice start in Latavius Murray and maybe even a sneaky Mike Boone start in rough situations. Buffalo is ranked 30th against fantasy running backs and despite not allowing a 100 yard rusher, yet… they have allowed 6 running back touchdowns.
Jack Doyle out for week 3
Jack Doyle is out for week 3, which is a huge boost to Eric Ebron. Ebron has been very touchdown dependent and had played mostly second fiddle to Doyle. Ebron scoring in each game boosted his value. This week Ebron will face an Eagles D that just got torched by OJ Howard and is currently bottom 10 in the NFL at defending TEs.
Marlon Mack out for week 3
Marlin Mack is now out for week 3, this should be a slight boost to no one as the Eagles haven’t allowed a running back to top 30 rushing yards yet in this short season.
Mayfield says beers on me
It took nearly a full half for the Browns medical staff to convince Tyrod Taylor he was injured. When he finally left in walked Browns savior Baker Mayfield with 1:19 in the first half to lead them to a field goal bringing an excitement level to Cleveland that hasn’t been since, well let’s face it ever. Mayfield finished 17/23 for 203 yards and four scoring drives that included a reception for a two point conversion. Cleveland held on for the win 21-17, winning for the first time in 635 days and letting the free beer flow throughout the city. Oh and Hue Jackson says he won’t commit to Baker until watching the game film.
Bradford with 2 straight QB32 finishes
Sam Bradford has finished as QB32 in consecutive weeks to start the season. Worth every penny of that 1 year – $20,000,000 contract. Yeah, I wrote it out so you can see how ridiculous it is he’s making 20 million. (Credit to Fanball writer Ryan McDowell for this stat)
Sam Bradford has finished as QB32, aka dead last, in each of the first two weeks.

Cook misses another practice
Dalvin Cook has missed another practice and despite him saying he’ll be fine, this is becoming a cause for concern. Keep monitoring the situation. If he plays, both him and Latavius Murray become great plays against a terrible Buffalo defense. If he doesn’t go, Latavius Murray becomes the chalkiest of chalk plays at $5,300 on Fanball this week!
