AJ Green is back!
He may be back, but he’ll have Jeff Driskel under center. Driskel is a very athletic former top high school recruit who never put it together and will likely struggle against a streaking Denver team with a solid pass defense as of late.
Stefon Diggs has said he’ll play, but his track record when playing while on the injury report isn’t great. He has not topped 60 yards in those games and has just one touchdown. The game is also a 3:25 CST start, which makes him a tad tougher to start if you have comparable noon game options.
Watkins a no-go
Sammy Watkins has been ruled out for this week. This is disappointing coming off the bye, but expect Chris Conley to fill in but ultimately just more targets for Hill, Kelce, and Hunt.
Gordon officially out
No real news hear, just official word that Gordon will be out this week and Ekeler is in line for a good workload.
Joe Flacco has returned to practice, but Lamar Jackson will be starting in week 13. Jackson has yet another great matchup against Atlanta for fantasy. It’s an interesting situation where a win might keep Jackson starting. Flacco is trending towards being ready for week 14.
Engram likely out
Evan Engram still isn’t practicing and is pretty unlikely at this point to play this weekend. It was already a tough matchup with the Bears, but given the TE wasteland this year, this hurts.
Sproles may play
Darren Sproles is finally practicing again and he may play Monday night. There is nothing you can do about it. You can’t start him. You don’t know his usage and it’s a Monday night game so if he doesn’t go, it hurts. This really shouldn’t affect Josh Adams either. The note here is if you need a pivot in case one of your players in the late games becomes inactive… maybe he’s a PPR consideration, but unlikely.
Funchess back at practice
This is bad news for those DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel owners. Funchess will get a choice matchup against the Bucs, but he is so hard to depend on. If Funchess doesn’t go, Moore should be a smash start.
Johnson not practicing
Kerryon Johnson is still not practicing and looks like he will be out yet another week. Look for healthy doses of Blount and Riddick once again.
Jackson to start again
Joe Flacco is still dinged up and it’s already been announced the Lamar Jackson will start once again this week in another decent matchup against a Falcons who are 31st against fantasy QBs this year and bottom 10 against them running the ball.
Fournette suspended one game
Leonard Fournette owners who already were fighting for playoffs positions as a result of all the missed time due to injury will now face the all important week 13 make or break week without the star running back due to a suspension. This is just another disappointment in a season full of them for a team that had super bowl expectations.
Patriots Activate Rex Burkhead Off IR
Out since after Week 3’s affair with the Lions, Rex Burkhead has been added back to the Patriots 53 man roster. Early returns figure to be minimal, though Burkhead has held weekly fantasy relevance in this offense before and can fill both Sony Michel’s and James White’s roles, offering him a path to value if either goes down. Late in the year is an ideal time to add handcuffs, and Burkhead is one of the better ones around.
