Gerald Everett, TE | LAR
Sat, Feb 27, 2021

The Athletic's Sheil Kapadia believes there's a "good chance" Gerald Everett will be "viewed as a starter on the open market."
Everett in 2020 saw as many targets as Rams teammate Tyler Higbee despite running fewer pass routes. Now a free agent, Everett could land on a team that sees him not as a No. 2 tight end, but a starter. Last year, Everett averaged 7.97 PPR points in games where he saw at least five targets. "If a team thinks there’s untapped upside," Kapadia said, "a deal in the neighborhood of $7 million to $8 million per year could be in play." Higbee, signed with LA through the 2023 season, would presumably see more opportunity if Everett signs with another team, though that's far from a guarantee.
