Week 1 Tight End Values and Fades
Value at Tight End
Jack Doyle – $5,300 – IND vs CIN
Doyle was a favorite target of Jacoby Brissett in 2017. He averaged 5.6 catches, 46.4 receiving yards, off of 7.5 targets per game. Andrew Luck adds touchdown upside to this whole offense. In 2016 Luck started 15 games and threw for 31 touchdown along with 282 passing yards per game. Cincinnati can be beaten by tight ends considering they had the third-worst DVOA ranking against the position.
Fade at Tight End
George Kittle – $5,000 – SF @ MIN
He’s coming off an injury and facing a stout Vikings defense. Minnesota had the second-best pass defense vs tight ends according to Football Outsiders DVOA statistic. He didn’t exactly light the world on fire with Jimmy G at quarterback, starting off with 5.4 Fanball points per game through their first three games. 15 Fanball points is tall task for Kittle based off his 3.8 targets per game with Garoppolo under center.
